Academic Life
Our teaching philosophy seeks to promote the joy of learning. We encourage each and every child to fully participate in the life of our school.
Our curriculum is based on firm foundations and our traditional approach ensures that priority is given to reading, comprehension, writing, and numeracy whilst promoting thinking skills, creativity, and individual expression at every opportunity.
Our broad and balanced curriculum incorporates active learning and first-hand experiences. Small classes and a well-structured, stimulating learning environment will enable your child to think, ask questions, develop curiosity, experiment, explore, and investigate. Our specialist teachers and school facilities enhance the learning opportunities for your child throughout their prep years; this includes specialist French, dance, music, art, design and technology, drama, PE, food technology, and games. In addition, our extensive grounds coupled with our Forest School programme enables pupils to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in our woodland.
We are committed to promoting an academic culture that celebrates individual achievements in which your child will be given the time, support and encouragement to realise their full potential.
