The Railway Children
The Prep children enjoyed the most amazing theatre trip on Wednesday 10 February 2016 to see the theatre adaptation of E. Nesbit’s popular The Railway Children.
In a purpose built theatre, backing onto Kings Cross Station, the children were entranced with the storytelling by the three main characters Roberta, Peter and Phyllis. The concept of the show was amazing and all followed the idea of a journey. There was constant movement along the main platform and within the tracks upon moving platforms.
Undoubtedly the best part was when steam engine arrived and was stopped by Roberta waving her red underskirt. It was hard to keep the children in their seats!
