Last Wednesday, Years 3 to 6 boarded a coach destined for the bright lights and musical drama of Matilda The Musical at The Cambridge Theatre, London.

The children were filled with anticipation, the staff more so! Upon arrival, a short walk and wait at the theatre added to the suspense. We were soon seated and the play begun. Humour and music were in abundance from the off and the children were instantly hooked.

The clever adaptation, meant children were kept in anticipation as subtle changes from the book became apparent.

The ice-creams during the interval, kindly supplied by the PTA, thank you very much, were very welcome and enjoyed by all.

The children were treated to a fun packed, action packed adaptation of the Roald Dahl book, bringing charac-ters to life before their eyes. We have been impressed with some of the follow up work that has been happening in the classrooms, too. A great success all round.
