Year 8 have been working hard over the summer holidays on their “Optical Illusion” pieces of art. They have created an illusion of 3D shapes by cleverly using tone with pencil and colour. 
 
They had an alfresco lesson this week, collecting natural objects from the school grounds; with autumn on thw way, there are no shorttage of acorns and leaves for our artists to study! They then drew them, using their observational skills to look at texture, shape, pattern and tone.
